MANY ROADS TO FREEDOM: |
15. WARRANT HOMESTEAD The Warrant Homestead, at 1956 West Henrietta Road in Brighton, was built in 1821 by Thomas White Warrant. Over the years, its original L-shaped, brick-lined structure was enlarged, covered with wood, and a cupola was added. The site is reputed to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad, which helped escaped slaves travel undetected to freedom in Canada.
