7. FREDERICK DOUGLASS MONUMENT (FIRST LOCATION)

The Frederick Douglass monument, made by Sidney W. Edwards, was unveiled in 1899 at Central Avenue and St. Paul Street. It was moved to Highland Park and rededicated on September 4, 1941.
